I'm learning about fords wonderful feed back carburetors on the 84 f150 short box with a 300 six in it and theres enough wiring to run power to half of Washington state, and shocker its only been hacked apart and taped, glued yes theres hot holding some wires together. Derek HELP. I found an 80 150 snd got the carb and distributor and all that feedback nonsense is going by by, regular ol carb and a vacuum advance dizzy with a dura spark ignition thats hoe a fellers doing it.

Derek I gotta ask how much do you spend a year on tools and parts. ?? And one more thing never ever trust old brakes. Ask me how I know. !!!! I used to work for a pizza delivery company here locally back in the 80’s I had bought a 84 Dodge colt to use for that job. Well the back brakes was bad one day and I didn’t have time to replace them before work so I took the back brake line off and put a pair (you guessed it vise grips) and clamped the back brakes off and bleed the fluid off. So front brakes only. Small front wheel drive car only front brakes. Yeah that will be fine. Store sat on a hill that was rather steep coming out of the store. Well I was headed out the drive and apparently the cars brakes didn’t like that much strain. Well I hit the brakes to slow down for traffic and heard a pop brakes went to the floor I went right into traffic with no brakes and crossed 4 lanes of traffic some how didn’t get hit or hit anything. But there was a building across the street I hopped the curb and yanked the emergency brake up just as I collided with the edge of the building. Luckily there was no damage to the building or the car really. However I did need to pull my butt cheeks off that cheap vinyl seat cause they definitely was stuck to it.

You know Derek , when you look at those caverns , traveling this land of ours , and you think about coming home to a great family , you are blessed by the man upstairs . You don't need a lot of money to have a life other's dream of . God bless . 🙂✝️

You should find an old 80s Seville, maybe with the Olds diesel, or an HT4100. They even made a 4bbl carb V6. I think it would be a very interesting revive.

You may consider getting some glasses to put on when driving at night. I finally got some and boy what a difference I was having a lot of trouble driving in the dark. Not anymore

The reason why you saw a carb there is cos it's been factory-retrofitted. The fuel injection system was reportedly so horrible that chrysler recalled every single imperial built and retrofitted them with a two-barrell carb. It wasnt just an intake and carb retrofit either. Chrysler had to switch out the gas tank, the gauge cluster and computer to make it run and read properly on the dashboard

I was watching the cat here just do whatever quirk it wanted while watching this video and thought about all the Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth products. You picked an Imperial. I said "uh oh." They often presented an unsolvable mystery that seemed like a terminal catastrophic expensive "park it in the side yard for three month" problem. It made me laugh real hard a couple times watching this. Thanks
